In mid-December 2023, following successful approval, RISE will be the first manufacturer to make the HealthID available to the insured for e-prescription and ePA in live operation. This will make it easier and more convenient to use the e-prescription application and the electronic patient file (ePA). The authorisation as Sectoral Identity Provider (Sectoral IDP) by gematik once again underlines RISE's special commitment and leadership in the area of highest security standards and the provision of reliable digital solutions in the healthcare sector. With the "Federation Master", RISE offers another important central component for interoperability and digitalisation, making everyday use easier for its business and end customers. The technology house RISE is thus further consolidating its pioneering role in the provision of e-health applications related to the telematics infrastructure.

With this approval, RISE will be able to provide all members of statutory and private health insurance companies with a digital identity well ahead of the deadline set by the German Federal Ministry of Health (BMG), in order to make mobile access to healthcare services a matter of course and to guarantee the highest standards of data protection and security.

The solution already provides access to ePA and e-prescriptions for both private and statutory health insurers, as well as all other digital services such as health applications (DiGAs) and the new digital health platforms and services. The RISE Digital ID is based on the RISE Wallet solution and will offer numerous variants for secure access to healthcare services in addition to eGK, nPA and Health ID.
