The Management
Our culture at RISE is characterised by the continuous development of the company by our management. Instead of rigid hierarchies, we emphasise a goal-oriented, collaborative pursuit of excellence and success in our projects. In our company, it is not titles, career levels or job descriptions that count, but the qualifications, skills and commitment of each individual. We encourage collaboration and the combined efforts of all employees to form effective teams.
The RISE management team: Our shared passion for success drives us to develop innovative solutions and break new ground. In this atmosphere of partnership, we rely on open dialogue and mutual trust to achieve our goals and enable sustainable growth.

Univ.Prof. Dr. Thomas Grechenig
Dr Thomas Grechenig (TG), management spokesman, founder of RISE, IT architect with many years of global experience in large IT projects, information technology "craftsman".
Prof. Dipl.Ing. Dr. techn. TG, architect for very large, complex, innovative and globalised information technology. R&D and digitalisation personality who, in addition to IT planning and project work, works in Berlin, Paris, Vienna, the Arab economic area and India, among other places, wherever exceptional solution, restructuring or implementation expertise is required. TG's strong personal interest in innovation cultures around and from information technology, combined with decades of responsible experience in large-scale IT projects and the associated industrial delivery knowledge, results in a constant quest for sustainable long-term European digital independence.
TG has played a leading role in some of the most complex IT projects in Europe. These range from the overhaul of 40 year old core systems in the government sector with many millions of LoC, to building global platforms (ID, Payment, GovTech, IIoT) for tens of millions of users. TG has seen the evolution of AI technologies from the inside for 30 years. The personal combination of a habilitated software engineer and an experienced large scale IT architect is an important part of RISE's genes and is rare worldwide as a driving creative core for an IT company of rank and relevant size.
Thomas Grechenig grew up in Mölltal in Carinthia, attended grammar school in Spittal/Drau and was a member of the Austrian national team at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO, bronze medal in London) in 1978 and 1979. TG habilitated at the Vienna University of Technology in 1994, specialising in "Software Engineering and Interactive Systems". He then continued his dual career as an architect for very large and national IT projects. He has held a long list of academic positions and has founded more than 20 research groups in the field of software and information technology, which are now active at several universities. Despite two decades of intensive company development, TG has published more than 250 relevant academic papers. Thomas Grechenig is a promoter of the evolved culture of a digitally self-determined Europe, its communal, intellectual, spiritual, legal and political principles, its tolerance and respectful basis of "live and let live". TG promotes and challenges young engineers with curiosity, heart and courage.
